Would this fit properly? October 19, 2007, 04:31:42 PM I really need to buy an all weather Car Cover for my 'Bird before the weather gets any worse.I've been shopping around locally, And all of the heavy protection ones are universal fit, and cost upward of $60.So i went to eBay and did a search for 83-86 Thunderbird specific Covers, Which didn't come up with too many... But this one caught my eye~Especially the price:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/67-86-Ford-Thunderbird-Car-Cover-w-UNIQUE-FEATURES_W0QQitemZ270176527306QQihZ017QQcategoryZ50456QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItemThe years it covers has an awful large range though... Anyone know if this would fit my '84 properly? Quote Selected
Would this fit properly? Reply #1 – October 19, 2007, 07:06:20 PM i have no idea, but its weird how it fits all years up to 86. the 87-88's are so much closer to the dimensions of an 83-86 then a 1974, but yet, the 87-88's are excluded. something here doesnt make sense Quote Selected
Would this fit properly? Reply #2 – October 19, 2007, 07:11:15 PM Thats what im thinking... Especially when you compare a late 70's boatmobile t-bird with a fox body...I just sent them some questions about it. Quote Selected
Would this fit properly? Reply #3 – October 19, 2007, 08:23:47 PM If the car is going to be outside in the elements you need a cover that will cost more $ Quote Selected
Would this fit properly? Reply #4 – October 20, 2007, 04:22:53 PM Well i was hoping that wouldn't be the case... But i guess it is?I do need an all weather cover, I've got the 'Bird over on the side driveway near some pine tree's, It's going to be sitting there awhile until i can get a carport set up.I've never bought a car cover before, So i'm not sure what brands are bad~Or what i should be looking for exactly to tell you the truth...I need it to last and keep the car dry underneath as well as keeping as much as possible out~And not causing any mildew, mould, rust or anything underneath...
