Need to REMOVE paint

Does anybody know of something that will remove house paint from my bumper without damaging the car paint? The previous owner was a house painter. Seriously, anybody that uses such a car for hauling any kind of construction materials other than things on a tool belt needs to be shot!
It's always fun until someone loses an eye. then it's fun ya can't see.

What I have found, if you don't mind scrubbing with a non-abrasive towel of some sorts, is a non-acetone nail polish remover. It works well with any over spray and doesn't(to my knowledge) ruin the paint. Of course, after I use it to remove paint, I wipe it off promptly. You might try it. Its like 1.50 at Walmart. Worth a shot anyways.

thing is, this is latex house paint thats been there for years. do you think it'd still work?

Hmmm....I don't know for sure, but for the cost of it, I'd say it is worth a try. It's the only thing I have found to safely remove Automotive paint. I would think being latex it would still come off. Is it on the trim or the paint of the car?

Get you one of those plastic paint razor blades and give it a se. That should work.

brake parts cleaner...  just don't get to crazy with it.

Try a clay bar if its just light .

Try this before you do anything using solvents.
 
I have removed latex paint from other things with hot water. (150*F or so. just don't bring it to boil) Just pour it slowly over the latex paint and it will blister. It can be peeled off from there.
 
Solvents don't tend to work well on latex because most latex paints are intended to be cleaned with solvents. (Removing magic marker and crayon) You'll likely screw up the car's paint before it has any effect on the latex.

you best try the hot water thing first:hick:
