Project Goldmember! Reply #62 – November 29, 2007, 11:05:04 PM :burnout: :burnout: :burnout: Well, since Claude said it I'll make a small update. She does live. However she still needs alot of work. The motor runs great! She did leak some oil and alot of tranny fluid, but that's all taken care of now. The only issue that's keeping this car from being 100 percent done is the transmission. My AOD isn't holding up to well. It's shifting horrible and probably won't last much longer. I've got to add about 2 inches to the TV rod so I can adjust it more. Right now it's at it's max adjustment. Hopefully I can get her working "good" til I can get all the parts needed for a T5 swap. Motor runs great. I was going to wait until I got a video before I posted an update. I want you guys to here her so bad. She's so sick!Edit: I used the word I in there alot. I do want to give alot of credit to Claude for letting me use his truck while this was going on. And also for being a big part of this whole project. Thanks bud! You're bird is next! Quote Selected

Project Goldmember! Reply #64 – November 30, 2007, 06:59:11 AM I was kind of sad to let that car go (I chased it around for a good 2 years before I bought it), but I'm glad to see it's up and running again. Quote Selected
Project Goldmember! Reply #65 – November 30, 2007, 10:35:13 AM Well, she drove to work good. It needs front springs replaced, also swaybar bushings, and stablizer links. That'll take care of the suspension issues. Still needs a shifter... (or 5 speed) I haven't decided yet. The tranny works but it's sloppy. Maybe futher adjustment will do some good.Cooling fan needs installed and relayed up. Plus a few lights and maybe even the CB radio. (Can you say whip?)And last but not least. She left me stranded for the first time today. I got in her to go home from work and she wouldn't start. I thought i flooded her and I did... But after I took out all the plugs and cleaned them I checked for spark. No spark! So I go to the parts store down the road and bought a coil. That didn't work. So I go back and have them check my Ignition Module and it failed. Swapped it out and was on my way. I probably have a bad body ground to the module. I'll re-do tonight. Plus a little more tuning. Project Goldmember! Reply #70 – November 30, 2007, 12:28:28 PM Of course! As soon as she was running we drove her over to Jims! Jim got to ride in it before my g/f did. If that says anything. :DAnyway, I'm throwing more pics up. Alot of clutter but I was to excited to get it done. After she is tuned and running great I'll re-detail her. Right now I can't keep my greasy hands off of her. Quote Selected
