another toy Reply #1 – September 24, 2007, 01:23:20 PM 20 years ago I went looking for an old beater truck.. I wanted to spend about $250. Couldn’t find a thing. I tell ya I was looking at things with the bed nearly rusted OFF. I was told by two different sales people at two different lots that the rule of thumb was... "ANY pickup that runs and drives, regardless of the rest of the condition of the truck, is worth $500"Based on that 20 year old "rule of thumb" you got a hell of a good deal! Quote Selected
