There is one of those around here. I see it once or twice each summer on average, but I've never seen it with the top down.

There's a mint white one that belongs to an employee at the shopping center where I drop my packages off to mail 'em. When I had my Dakota I would always look wistfully at it. I haven't seen it in awhile, so I don't know if the employee still owns it, or if that employee still works there...

I've always wanted to get my hands on one of those, and add all the Shelby Dakota stuff to it.  Make a real one off truck.

WOW that's amazing. You think you've seen it all....then you see a convertible pickup. Thats pretty awesome. Looks good with the top down too!

I have never seen that before nor did I know they existed....however at the ever popular cruise night at Kohls Wednesday nights by me this summer one time I saw a dakota that generation, with the roof sawzalled off :hick:. These three kids riding in it, they were cool actually, just thought it would be funny to hack the roof off! It was weird like a lime green with a black racing stripe or something....and it was made out of electrical tape maybe :hick: :giggle:  and the license plate was hanging at an angle on the tailgate....and had a bulb on a partially frayed wire just hanging loosely above it!!!! Very solid body and everything though. Just really hick-modded! Never thought to get a pic.....

Just really hick-modded!

Hick-modded Dakota? Yeah, I know hick-modded Dakotas. Behold mine, after the box rotted off. Note the Explorer wheels and Crown Vic Police Interceptor centers. The wooden box looked ghetto, but it just about doubled the usefulness of that truck (I'll never own another truck that doesn't have four feet or more between the wheelwells):
