Alright time to salvage my reputation here..... September 23, 2007, 07:19:56 PM ....And be looked down upon in a whole NEW way!!!! YES YES YES those were taken today about 3ish in the afternoon. I'm really a redneck now....two words: Epoxy Enamel. I painted my tires black. I thought about it early last week, and decided that this weekend I'd make my time home worth it...expel the evil life force from my car. I dont know how well paint adheres to spinning rubber, but if it lasts even a month I'll be happy. was maybe 15-20 minutes total yankin each one, masking it, and lettin loose with the ol Krylon noisy can. I gotta say its a freakin' breath of FRESH air. I was gettin sick of those things.....looks so much more shagyful now. Next Im gonna get some stencils and make my own white lettering!!! :hick:  Quote Selected

Reply #6 – September 23, 2007, 08:36:37 PM Quote from: bhazard;178123Now THATS something a little different...I wonder if the paint could unbalance the wheels...i seriously doubt u could apply that much paint on only one part of your wheel to imbalance it enough to feel it. usually if a whell is .25 oz off u wont even feel it. so thats how much more paint needs to be on ONE PART of the tire to feel a difference. you gotta figure, if its spread evenly, it wont effect balance, it needs to blotted up on one part Quote Selected

Alright time to salvage my reputation here..... Reply #13 – September 24, 2007, 09:09:09 AM I don't think anyone's reputation has ever been salvaged by painting their tires :hick:Joking apart, it looks good. I only wonder if the paint will stick - unless you used a flexible paint it's probably going to crack and flake all to hell. Why don't you just take the car to a tire shop and have 'em flip the tires around on the rims?
