Jegs and Summit Recognize..

I've noticed the latest catalogs of these parts warehouses are listing more and more Mustang crossover parts as actually fitting our cars right in the catalog.  Everything from Headers to Oil Pans and Radiators to fuel injectors and suspension parts.  T-Bird / Cougar is listed right in there with Mustang.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

It's been a long time coming. Although, not to slight those companies or anything, but they probably didn't list our cars before because of space limitations. I mean, honestly, you can't expect them to list EVERY Fox car for each part...the catalog would get too thick. ;)

But it is nice to be shown as one of the "main players" for the parts, instead of just the Mustang and the occasional Fairmont. Cool.

Eric, funny you say that. Why would you say the " occasional Fairmont"? Wouldn't out cars be more popular then the Fairmont's/Zephers?

Some people prefer the Fairmont/Futura/Zephyr for drag racing because of the shorter wheelbase and lighter weight.

Fairmonts are also lighter. A 2.3/4 speed 2door can be in the 2500 lb range. I think theyre also closest to mustangs when it comes to part sizes, like the rear ends and stuff.
