I don’t think they were going as quick as it looks. If there both doing 30-40 mph that’s a head on at anywhere between 60-80 mph. which is now a lot of energy could even been slower. That jeeps front end could look worse and I hate to admit it but we all now our cars can’t take I front hit.
A few years ago I was at a local circle track and some idiot use a fox bird In the rollover contest. Well some of you might know it’s not speed but just a little technique as you hit the ramp you gotta cut the wheel and hold on the faster/more balls you got the more rolls you get/more points. Anyway I was routing for the bird for 2 reasons well 1 its different not a import and 2 da it’s a bird well this guys fly’s around the track so I thinking man this guys got ballshiznit the ramps 45-50 MPH dumbaz never turned the wheel so he when right over the ramp on his left two wheels car teetered to the right 2 wheels and back to the left the brakes were worthless like this cause him to hit the wall. Moral of the story his car looked very simpler to that one, and lucky him he did not dye but he did hold up the days events by being cut out into a back board.
P.S for those who are wondering I forget how I heard but he had no track experience he just heard about the car rollover contest and he wanted his car to go out in a blaze of glory. He’s lucky he didn’t kill himself.
