Found an old pic of my 86'

I was going thru some old mm&ff magazines the other day and found one of my old pics of the bird. This was taken right after I completed the LSC suspension swap.

No air ride, just the rear axle, front spindles and rotors/brakes. The wheels are from a 88' Mistu Conquest/Dodge Starion. 16X8s & 16X9s.
The rear suspension has since been changed to a 03' Cobra IRS setup.

CougarSE, other than using a milling machine to open up the center a bit, yes they bolted right on. Same bolt pattern :D

cougrrr302, the most recent pics are in my cardomain pages. The car is still in reconstruction.

thunderjet302, they are one in the same car :D

I have more pics of the car on a disc somewhere. I just have to find them. They are shortly after I bought it.

Just curious but did you do any measuring of anything before/when you did that swap and maybe still have the numbers around? I've got a Mark VIII irs just lying about and though I know it'd be too wide... I still get dumb ideas.

The MKVIII IRS is a different type of setup all together. The Cobra IRS almost bolts right in. Sorry :(  No numbers available.

daboss351, you have to be carefull when milling the centers out. My friend and I almost cut thru where the center sticks out. Unless, of course you cut them off and then center some spinners or center caps and screw them on. Oh ya, good luck finding a good set of those wheels. I had 1 that was dented, 2 that were curb scratched and 1 was ok. I found a set of them here in IL and I got 1 16x7 2 16x8 and only 1 16x9. I was trying for 4 16x9s, oh well. Good luck finding them though

John

P.S. I do have a set of space savers that I can put on my car until I get the wheels I want  and you can get mine from me  :D
