your to muckin fuch :giggle:

i was'nt looking for an exact number but a few of you got the right idea..

180 miles 90 each way as i stated above will equal about 3 hours and 2 minutes..

from a dead stop to accelerate to 60 and drive from point A to point B will take 30 to 40 seconds stop to turn around and drive back to point A again will take another 35 to 45 seconds and you arive back at point A it will take about another 25 seconds to deccelerate to come to a complete stop..

The scenario you've presented is impossible. You cannot "start from a dead stop" while "driving 60 MPH". If the truck cannot surpass 60 MPH it is impossible to travel the entire distance at that speed.

You've also not given us the acceleration rate of the truck. Did it take the entire 90 miles to get to 60, or did it take 20 seconds? How long did it take for the truck to decelerate to 0, and how long did it take you to turn it around? How long to accelerate back to 60?

I could get even more technical and say that since you didn't give us your lattitude we cannot accurately estimate or factor in the rotation of the earth - closer to the poles = slower relative rotational speed, closer to the equator = higher speed. You also didn't say whether you're traveling north-south or east-west, so we can't determine the speed you're whizzing through the solar system. Iif you're traveling against the earth's rotation and against the direction Earth is revolving around the sun your speed will be significantly different than if you're traveling into the rotation and into the revolution, and time of day will be a factor with revolution as well - you're going the opposite direction in daytime than you would be going at night.

So, um... the answer is George Washington.

If a rooster lays an egg on the pinnacle of an off canted barn roof which way will the egg roll?

Do you pack your lunch or walk to school?

If 1 is lonely, 2 is company and three is a crowd, what are 4,5 and 6?

If a cone is bisected by a horizontal plane, the lower remaining portion is called a frustum. What is the upper remaining portion called?

1) Up

2) Roosters don't lay eggs

3) 15 (4 + 5 + 6 = 16)

4) A cone. A smaller cone, but a cone

:D

*EDIT*  this dialup, I hit "quote" on Mayem's post before the rest of the page loaded and didn't even realize that others have already answered. Oh well, I'm still smart. Honest...

If a hen and a half can lay an egg and a half in a day and a half, then why is a cat like a sidewalk?

*EDIT* I just noticed the topic of this thread. Is this whole thing just an excuse to get naked?

in part of your post is my point.. it takes time to accelerate to 60
and deaccelerate and so on. thats was my point and was what i said.  i was'nt look for an exact number just an idea. thats all i was'nt asking for the corect mathamatical equation of the space time continum of this galaxy and if GOD had anything to do with my out come ;) like i said i was trying to keep it simple..
