a little math game so bare with me

ok i will try to make this as easy as i can with my shiznitty typing and i'll try to keep the math simple..

ok first i will give you a simple problem to solve.. see if you can figure it out.. it will be real easy but most will be wrong and will say my answer is lame but it will be corect..
then after a few people post their answers i will give a real life one of the example i just gave.. i want to see if people on here are smarter then the people i work for..

exsample 1.. i drive a heavy duty truck.. if i start from a dead stop then drive say 180 miles "90 miles each way" at 60 miles an hour thats as fast as the truck goes.. how long will it take to to go from point A to point B and back to point A again?

the bonus for this question is like i said simple!!! no real life stuff to stop you.. no traffic, no slow moving vehicles to dodge, no stop signs, no stop lights,no speed limits other then as fast the truck will go..

please take the time to answer the question

and then we will move on to question number two. real life.. driving on real life streets and opstacles..

thank you for you time..

Nick: 3 hours " fantasy" time

The explination to the answer is if you drive 180 miles at 60 MPH... it is:
60 MPH x 3 hours = 180 miles.
Or
180 miles / 60 MPH = 3 hours time

that depends on the accelleration of the truck, if it started the 180 mile treck from a dead stop, u have to acount for the time and distance it takes to get to that 60 mph your talking about. i assume thats the twist in this question?

It's longer than 3 hours.  Be it fantasy or not, it still has to accelerate to 60, decelerate to 0, re-accel to 60, and finally re-decel to 0.  I'd say 3 hours 2 minutes.

It would take 3 hours and some odd minutes to drive there and back. But how long are you staying at Point B? Thats the answer.

Takes 3 hours minimum to drive + the accel and deccel as before mentioned + the amount of time you stay at Point B.

following YOUR instructions,, there appears to be no stops at all nor any time in your instructions for a stay over.

drive time is simple, 3 hours + acceleration time.
