So MM&FF gives the 2.3t crowd a resounding "FVCK YOU"...

I was just reading the latest MM&FF magazine where they did an exhaust tech article on their SVO. Apparently the new exhaust worked so well they overboosted the engine (22 PSI) and blew the HG. Even with the blown HG they managed 45 extra horses at 4500 RPM (and admit it would have been as high as 80 extra horses had they been able to rev to redline). This with the STOCK E3 MANIFOLD and T3...

...so after this they wound the article up with "We like 4.6's and 5.0's, so you 2.3t guys are out of luck, we won't be doing more features" or something to that effect. Nice...:beatyoass:

I read that article. About the only interesting part of the whole dang mag...

Which is primarily why I won't be buying another one until I forget why I ended my subscription some years ago.

I guess they couldn't take it that our 2.3T keeps up and out runs there 5.0's and 4.6's  Besides to me why buy a mag that is Mustangs Mustangs and Few if any other Ford's. I guess winning at the strip and still being able to get 25-30mpg in daily driver use is just to much for them. Oh yeah this isn't a world where we can have our cake and eat it too. Unless you are a 2.3T guy or gal.

Who cares, its not like were learning anything from them.

I mean come on, we have people putting 16v heads on our 2.3's, holsets and whatnot, and people like huber pulling off 8's in the quarter, and then you have this V8 mustang dominated magazine, that put a simple exhaust system on an svo? bleh!

Wow sounds like a bunch of babies anyway. 2.3's are in my opinion easier to work on *ducks from hail of rotten veggies*, just because of the space that there is in the engine compartment, and that mostly everything is easily reached compared to my  5.0. I love that an engine basically half the size can put out the same power. Thats why Im trying my dest to get a 2.3 to rebuild.

Well I prefer whole engines(but despise 4.6s), still you can only stand so much of the same thing...

I don't buy stuff that has 'Mustang' in the title anyway, let alone 'Ford', so this is no bother to me.:dunno:

I would rather look at a Jegs or Summit Racing catalog for something to read.:hick:

It would probably have fewer advertisp00gets...

I read a lot of magazines every month (MM&FF, Motor Trend, Car and Driver, Automobile, Road & Track, Popular Mechanics, Hot Rod, Maximum PC, Reader's Digest) but I have never seen a magazine with so many advertisp00gets as MM&FF. There's like 20 pages of ads before you even get to the table of contents! It's gotten so that there's like 3 or 4 feature cars, one or two tech articles, the usual features (Racer Notebook, Yo Ken, Mustang Mail, etc), maybe a blurb about some all-Ford gathering, all mixed in with 180 pages of ads...
