Need opinions TONIGHT!!! pics

Long story short...I get an email at 9:30 from a friend with a killer deal on some axles. So I decide to go out tonight and pull mine and test fit these.  I would rather order a custom length approx 3/4" shorter to tuck the tire more. What do you think?

Without asking too much, is it worth loosing the 3/4" price wise?

I don't like my tires sticking out past the fenders, but it's actually a matter of personal taste. How wide are the tires?

3/4 of an inch can make a big difference.

84fila- if I'm not happy with it , then I would rather spend the extra. But this car's budget is blown and that's why I am considering it.

Vinnie, I don't either, but the best I may be able to do is to get them under the fender lip. They are 315's. They look killer under there. I will get some better pics tommorow.

I think those are *just* inside the line of too far. In other words, I'd use them and I think it looks quite good with soooooo much tire under there.

If the price is berable, I vote go for it.

Mike, I'm with you for the soo much tire, but I think if he can tuck it in a wee bit more, it will get teh same look, only better

I'm with Vinnie on this; I would go with the narrower axles if possible so that it looked "right".

BTW, nice panel fitment on your door. I don't think it can get any better than that.

What do I think? You need a car wash, thats what I think. LOL

I'd do it. If you arent happy, then go with 3/4 "  shorter to pull em in.

I just put narrower axles in my Stang 8.8 that I'm getting ready to use.I wanted the rear to be "right".I have 17x9's in the back, and I like them out to where IF the rear of the car sat down over the tires, the tires would barely clear the fender. If your budget is gone (Believe me,I'm living in that world right now),then save up until you have the cash.Do it right the first time, don't "settle" on something you really don't want for the sake of money.Check the Corral,Ebay, whatever. There are always people selling axles all the time.Maybe you can save a few dollars that way,AND,still have what you want.My opinion.

do it right the first time. you end up spending more money if your not gonna be completely happy with it. even if it takes more time in the long run. dont rush
trick flow street heat intake , 24lbs injetors, ported GT-40's (Chip) long tube headers. and a Performance Automatic C4, with a hurst shifter!

If you have the clearance on the inside to pull them in, I would. First time you have some friends in the car or go over a big bump you'll hit the tires.
Glad to see the 315s on there. 12" wide wheels?

I've decided to wait and order correct length axles. I was going to just use them, but I know I won't be happy. If the rain/clouds ever leave I will get some better pics up. Thanks everyone.

Jim, everytime I see your car I love it more.  I can't wait until I see the whole thing completed.
