Does this look like a non-leather wheel? Reply #1 – August 19, 2007, 10:33:12 PM It looks like my steering wheel now. EDIT:I didn't notice the " breaks" in the wheel or the stitching. It is in fact a leather wrap wheel. My bad Quote Selected

Does this look like a non-leather wheel? Reply #3 – August 20, 2007, 04:01:15 PM I think it looks leather wrapped. It looks different than the non-TC wheel that was originally in my car, anyway - mine was all molded, one piece with no seams:My '87 Sport wheel was leather wrapped and had the same seams that Karl's wheel has: Quote Selected

Does this look like a non-leather wheel? Reply #7 – August 20, 2007, 06:43:57 PM OK, let me rephrase that...With my turbo dialup accelerator on, which makes photos a bit more pixelated, that looked to me like a non-leather wrapped wheel. When I get work (DSL) and re-view this page witout the accelerator, I can now see that there's a floor shifter, which is always leather wrapped, and I believe that required a leather-wrapped wheel also.I can also see the two seams on the rim, where the two parts of the leather meet.So it appears to be a leather-wrapped wheel.Sorry about the confusion there. Does this look like a non-leather wheel? Reply #9 – August 21, 2007, 09:39:28 AM Looks like the leather is still on there to me. If it wasn't then you would see a big drop in the surface of the wheel where it went from leather to plain. Trust me I've had the leather of my 84 wheel. On mine when the leather was off of there it was skinny like a 60's hard plastic steering wheel. I had to use 2 of those black foam covers as padding to make it look and feel ok. Quote Selected

Does this look like a non-leather wheel? Reply #12 – August 22, 2007, 09:25:55 PM The reason I asked is because I can't see stitching on the inside of the wheel. Can anyone see stitching? Quote Selected
