Drove an 04 cobra today August 15, 2007, 07:21:30 PM All i have to say is dam that thing moves(almost as good as my car).Was definetley impressed to say the least.390hp my ass,ford definetley underated those things,the srt8's have 425hp and this cobra in stock form would eat one for lunch.I'd buy it but i'm kinda short the 29grand they want for it on our used car lot LOL.Here's apic of the shagy beast. Drove an 04 cobra today Reply #12 – August 16, 2007, 02:45:36 PM K for those of you that think any of the srt-8s can beat a stock cobra,you are sadly mistaken.I work at a dealer and have driven them all to the extreme and they don't even compare to the raw torque that the cobra has.The srt-8s are BS for the prices they charge(there heavy to boot)and this cobra for half the price will as i said EAT THEM FOR LUNCH as will my TC.Speaking from experience here guys not bs'n about driving them all. Drove an 04 cobra today Reply #13 – August 16, 2007, 02:52:23 PM here's a reality check for you... my best friend of 20 years bought a brand new, bone stock srt8 charger. another friend of ours has a low mileage 04 cobra. they raced... a lot. both at the track and on the street. the srt8 beat the cobra EVERY time. don't get me wrong, i'm a diehard ford fan, but there is no denying that the 6.1 is a BEAST. if you don't believe me, i'll see if my friend still has the video that has about 10 races on it.and before you say that the cobra driver must not have know how to drive, i'll tell you now, that's not the case.if you're basing your decision on price, then that's a whole other argument. we all know that the srt8's are about a $45-$50K car.
