CJ07 Dvd

I've got probably most of the photos from everyone but am still collecting. Cutoff date will be August 24th, then I start burning DVD's. All CJ07 attendees receive the DVD free of charge, as my gift to you for attending. For everyone else the DVD will be for sale as soon as the attendees receive theirs.

And just to let you know...I got my new software today. Shall we do the DVD in HD widescreen? Because I can... ;)

How will a 4x3 picture look on widescreen?  Will it have letterboxing or whatever that's called on both sides?

I didn't catch you on Sunday to give you my pics, but I've posted them here. Just wanted to make sure they were on your list of gathered pics.

As for the DVD, my own personal opinion would be go for the HD, but then again, I only have a BlueRay player (PS3), so....

We also have to think of people who might not be HD ready.

I don't know yet...gotta make a test DVD and try it first. It probably would be letterboxed, or cropped. Either way it would still work on a standard 4:3 set. And the resolution would be scaled also. In fact it would probably still be razor-sharp on a standard definition TV. I'll throw something together as a test and try it out.

None of the videos were shot with a higher-def camera so they won't be super-sharp anyway. The only things that would be high-def would be SOME of the photos (those with high enough resolutions).

I noticed whe it was playing there. A nice little touch for Catjam don't ya think. Do you wonder if they did that on purpus just for us though?

yes, they played that on purpose (or at least that's what the dj guy said) once after announcing we were there... i guess it was just a shout out the best way they knew how :)

They actually played it twice, once was this version, and the other was the better, country version (dang, I can't believe I just said country was better!! LOL).
Yes, it was played for us (both times). They have played it for us every year I've been to CJ.
