Exactly the reason for this purchase!  My old camera did just that!

This one will pay for itself in no time then just in the cost of batteries.

dunno if yours will take them but I got Kodak Ni-MH Digital Camera Batteries and a Kodak K4500 charger.
Charger aint nothing fancy but the batteries.. astounding 100's and 100's of pictures using the view screen and they never have let me down yet. I have 2 batteries (charge one use the other) and a fully charged battery is good for DAYS!

But they aint cheep... can't remember exactly what I paid, I just remember thinking "Holy $#!^" when I bought them...Great battery!
