car on a truck frame Reply #3 – July 31, 2007, 07:01:21 AM The turbo is fake and just for show. The real power comes from the big wind-up keys in the rear wheelwells. Quote Selected
car on a truck frame Reply #4 – July 31, 2007, 07:15:23 AM it should be as easy as just mounting the car chassis/body to the truck frame. if the car is older and used a frame it would be easy. otherwise just bolt the car chassis down to the frame where the 4x4 frame attached to whatever it attached to. also you need to use rubber mounting blocks b/c welding will cause the chassis to be too stiff and ride like a rock with much road noise, made even louder by the 35's Quote Selected
car on a truck frame Reply #5 – July 31, 2007, 09:51:48 AM No, He means like This Maxxed Out Muscle Car 1968 Camaro on steroids. 4x4, automatic Built 478 ci big block 685 Hp. Chevrolet, with turbo 400, 5000 stall, W/4 link coiled front suspension Homemade 2x4" still tube frame, 2" tube padded 6-point roll cage Fuel cell, 200 w. Sony Xplod stereo, with 22" wide on 20" bead lock super scoopers, Canary yellow, with stock black rally stripes My buddy Ron Pelz made this. He started with a 3/4 ton Chevy 4x4 frame and ended up sping it and building his own frame. Coulden't find enough good mounting points where the Camaro bod met the 4x4 frame. So you may not want to fool yourself right up front thinking it will work just hacking your body onto another frame. what you may end up with would be just that, a hack job. Quote Selected
