New Radio Reply #2 – July 27, 2007, 11:29:29 PM I wish, but alas, no. Just the local stations. And most of them suck.:birdsmily: Quote Selected
New Radio Reply #3 – July 28, 2007, 12:17:55 AM you could always mount one under the dash or elsewhere and still leave that one there. Quote Selected
New Radio Reply #4 – July 28, 2007, 12:21:24 AM You can do what I did.I installed a 10 disc CD changer in the trunk under the package shelf. Can't even see it unless you know what you're looking for. Quote Selected
New Radio Reply #5 – July 28, 2007, 12:53:22 AM Gotta say I'm HAPPY with my casette deck. Good ol' tape-with-a-wire-coming-out-of-it hooked into my Sansa MP3 player does the job good enough for me! "Livin after midnight, rockin' til the dawn...." Quote Selected
New Radio Reply #6 – July 28, 2007, 09:52:57 AM How much is a 10 disc cd changer? How would it work with my radio?:birdsmily: Quote Selected
New Radio Reply #7 – July 28, 2007, 09:58:24 AM I have no idea on the cost but I think you would have to buy a deck. Maybe look at some of those hidden dash radios that I see company's selling for older Mustangs and various muscle cars. I like the look of the stock radio, it gives it the polished factory look. I'm thinkin it is one of the super basic models as it only has power mirrors on it. Manual everything else. Even manual lumbar. The ORIGINAL original radio had black s, but as I was young and ignorant, I threw that one away. I got that from the junkyard yesterday.:D That radio came from an old cougar lynx. :birdsmily: Quote Selected
New Radio Reply #10 – July 28, 2007, 12:01:02 PM It may seem strange today, but the standard radio in a base Thunderbird in 1983-84 was just an AM radio (which could even be deleted for credit). An AM/FM radio was an option.Brent:cougarsmily: Quote Selected

New Radio Reply #12 – July 28, 2007, 02:49:37 PM Boy, they came a long way in just a few years. I actually like the way my radio looks and this has prevented me from getting some py looking aftermarket radio - even though mine me off often (left channel cuts out on right turns, led's light occasionally - when they feel like it). New Radio Reply #13 – July 28, 2007, 04:42:04 PM MAN! Eq and everything huh? I can't hear the radio most of the time anyways, so an eq would do me no good. It would take alot to make my radio heard, but then that would drown out the engine noise, and well, there ain't no tune that beats the sound of a rumbly engine. Quote Selected
New Radio Reply #14 – July 28, 2007, 05:44:15 PM My 84 Turbo coupe came with one that looks more like Cougar5.0's but it had s for the bas and treble. It looks many years ahead of the stock pos one. I did drive a t-bird/cougar along time ago with a factory am/fm/CB in it. I think it was an 85-86 model Quote Selected
