Going to the big yard...wish me luck....

I'm leaving for the giant bonyard about an hour from here.I'll grab everything that looks good,and hard to find.I'm also grabbing an A9P Stang computer and mass Air set up for my Bird.He said he'd take $75.00 for everything.I said fine.Anyway,I'll bring back a report after lunch sometime.

I ended up with nothing but an A9P Stang computer.They had NOTHING. Place sucked.Oh well,I spent $30.00 for it.No Mass Air meter so they cut me "a deal".Not bad I suppose.

Not bad.I was disappointed in the rest of the trip.I was fully prepared to find a LOT of Fox parts,nothing.Oh well,I did discover a HUGE yard that I've never ben to.It's about 12 miles from the place I went today.Couldn't go due to time restraints this afternoon.Next time,I'll be all over it.

Next week,I'm going to my favorite yard (20 acres),then to another about the same size 15 miles from there.It'll be a good shopping day.

That's what I find when I hit the yards. I go there expecting one thing and find something different each time. Last time I found no FOX goodies (little trim stuff, grilles, etc) but did find rust free floors in an '85 which had a totally rusted out radiator support. I was shocked when I looked underneath to see how bad the floors were and didn't see any northeast rust!!!! :eek:

The price of the floors was worth the entertainment... getting a ride on the front end loader with 20 foot forks (I could do some damage with that machine) and watching them hack out the floors right through the frame rails, gas lines etc! :)

A bad day at the junk yard is still better than a good at work!

THAT is true.I'd rather spen all day at any yard than working.I can easily spend 4 or 5 hours "shopping" for parts.I have a ew yards I go to that have a lot.My favorite has about 20 or more fox cars.I need to make a run.I'm off til wednesday.I may just make a run.we'll see.
