Unlock Various Cars With A Tennis Ball?

Came across this when i was looking up some general information about car locks:

Apparently it works on a lot of older euros and imports. :hick:

The first time I saw that vid I was talking to the guys at work and the one ownes a newer BMW and he told me that the interior panels are such a tight fit the any kind of compressed air shot thru the door handle are will pop the lock up on the inside.

I'm sorry, but I don't believe that for a second.
Examine the fuzzy surface of a tennis ball. There is no way you could feasibly hold a tennis ball (with a hole) against an automotive lock and force that much air pressure to actually break or disable the lock.
I'd like to know how that idea got started.

Better have a good insulating glove...

Holding it your bare hand, would be about like holding a red hot charcoal briquette...

If you kick the rubber door trim on an 85/86 Mustang with power locks, they will unlock. My 85 and Moller's 86 both did this.

They might have to be white though :hick:

Speaking of strange ways to get into a car, ever throw a small piece (maybe 1/4 to 3/8" in diameter) of spark plug porcelain at a tempered glass window?

Don't. At least don't do it to a window you care about or might get in trouble for breaking. I can only say that it's a good job I didn't know about that when I was a kid...
