Power Window Motor Removal Reply #17 – July 13, 2007, 01:10:27 AM Well in my recent endevor to replace the window motor in my 84 with the and 88 cougar unit. Both of them had the yellow and red wires on them. My 84 didn't have a plug and the 88 does. I took it all apart and put the smaller 88 unit in the car. Two out the 3 bolt holes lined up the the 3rd one didn't. So I put the larger 84 unit back in the after testing the motor. Either motor ran the window just fine. The 88 did take larger bolts than the 84. They still fit in the 84 holes with out a problem. Quote Selected
