K member install July 09, 2007, 12:18:31 AM I know I need to add a spacer to my mustang K member but does it go on the mounting point toward the front of the car or the rear of the car Quote Selected
K member install Reply #2 – July 09, 2007, 06:23:11 AM you may also need to change the rear pad's bolt spacing. i did on mine. the tbird was narrower(bolts closer together) than the mustang k-member, jus the bolt spacin on each pad, not the frame rail width. Quote Selected
K member install Reply #3 – July 09, 2007, 10:42:26 PM Forgive my ignorance, but why is a 3/8" spacer required? Quote Selected
K member install Reply #4 – July 09, 2007, 10:45:37 PM you'll have a gap up front when you bolt up the rear bolts. its just weird like that. Quote Selected

K member install Reply #7 – July 23, 2007, 08:17:10 PM I don't know much about this swap, is the Mustang K member lighter?, if so, how much? Any other advantages? Quote Selected
K member install Reply #8 – July 23, 2007, 08:37:15 PM They are talking about aftermarket Mustang K-members. None are made specifically for the TBirds, so you have to modify Mustang ones. Quote Selected
K member install Reply #9 – July 24, 2007, 12:39:46 AM Yeah, was wondering if '87-'93 Mustang fit as these K members are ten lbs lighter, (w improved anti dive) than other Mustang K members..so if Tbird K member is heavier than Mustang K member, could be cheap upgrade that is only 18lbs heavier than most after market K members Quote Selected
K member install Reply #10 – July 24, 2007, 12:49:31 AM I haven't checked directly with Griggs or Maximum yet. I have a feeling that theirs maybe Tbird design as they do list them seperately. Quote Selected
K member install Reply #11 – July 24, 2007, 08:14:36 AM MM has a few Tbird-specific parts. Quote Selected
