The bird is Finally painted!!! Reply #19 – July 01, 2007, 02:02:02 PM Looks good man. Nice job on laying down your own paint. The colour reminds me of Hawk's TC. Personally I think some polished or chrome 17/18s would look awesome with that colour. Quote Selected
The bird is Finally painted!!! Reply #20 – July 01, 2007, 05:55:33 PM Looks good to me. That blue pops out at ya. You just have one to many scoops though;) Quote Selected
The bird is Finally painted!!! Reply #21 – July 01, 2007, 06:46:16 PM The longer you wait the harder it is to buff. Give it about 6 hours and its ready to wet sand and buff. That is one thing at work I hate is having to buff fully cured paint, its hard as hell. Quote Selected
The bird is Finally painted!!! Reply #22 – July 01, 2007, 08:17:01 PM how the hell do you wet sand and buff wet (soft) paint? I gave the test area I did the night to cure and tried to sand it off and it just rolled up and gummed up the paper. Here are a couple more pics without the hood scoop. :p :D Quote Selected
The bird is Finally painted!!! Reply #23 – July 01, 2007, 08:21:49 PM looks tons better without the hood scoop Quote Selected

Drying time on mine was 30 minutes at 120* Quote Selected
The bird is Finally painted!!! Reply #26 – July 01, 2007, 09:22:05 PM Is the driver's side not finished? I noticed it's not in any of the pictures. Quote Selected
The bird is Finally painted!!! Reply #27 – July 01, 2007, 10:20:03 PM This better? I didnt post any drivers side pics, because my crowning acheivment on this car has been that fender scoop:hick: . :D It is just a single stage paint, not two stage. I will give it a week or two then wet sand it out and put on another coat it I have to.Quotelooks tons better without the hood scoopI agree sleeper. Quote Selected

The bird is Finally painted!!! Reply #29 – July 02, 2007, 09:57:10 AM I love it! That blue makes if kinda look anodized. The smooth hood looks better to my eye. Keep up the great work. You wanna come and paint mine? I didn't think so it was worth a shot. Quote Selected
