Best/Rarest Find at a Junkyard

So, I'm sure you guys are all used to digging through cars at the local junkyards. For some of us, it's like being a kid in a candy store.

What's the rarest thing you've ever found?

For me, it was a "police grille" from a '91 Taurus SHO. I bought the grille for $20 and sold it on eBay for $180. It was in flawless condition.
Next to that, I found a Ford Motorsport spoiler and side skirt kit from an '85 Thunderbird. I sold the spoiler but I still have the side skirts.
I also scored an original alarm light piece from the center console switch panel of an '84 Turbo Coupe. I left it in my '88 XR7 when I sold it and I've been kicking myself ever since.
For the more common stuff, I've found three or four pairs of electroluminescent Cougar c-pillar emblems, '83 turn signal lenses, and the elusive unbroken hood release cable. :D

I'm old enough to have seen a '65 Shelby Mustang in a JY, lots of special or hi performance Fords. I never paid much attention to the other junk cars. For a long time, there was a Bill Elliott 87 Tbird he wrecked at Atlanta in a local JY. It might still be there, I haven't been to that one in a long time.

Hmmm...not really any junkyards to pick through here, which sucks.

Although, about 3 years ago I bought a beat up '84 TC with no title to pull the engine and transmission from to rebuild. Paid $150 for it and the place I bought it from (towing company) even delivered it to me.

When it was dropped off (on a rollback), I looked the car over and despite the fact that the only straight panel on the car appeared to be the roof, the interior was nearly immaculate (which was odd). I ended up stripping the whole interior out of the car and selling it. I can't remember how much I got for it, but I sold the dash cap (which was perfect) for $50, and the front seats for $70. It also had FMS side skirts on it which I sold for $80-90 if I recall correctly (not sure how "rare" those are). So I made back about twice what I paid for the car and got a free engine and tranny out of the deal.

found my '62 Meteor sitting in the treeline at my local yard.  $350.00, was $200 til s prices went up.  There's a nice 20th Anniv. Cougar there, '83/84 TC, and a '65 Dart v8.

He crushes everything newer than 10 yrs. old.
