The Wifes Project car....

Which I am kind of jelous of lol. :hick:  It's an '82 T-Top 5.0L Mercury Capri RS.  Has no motor or tranny but I gave her the one out of my '85 Cougar to rebuild for it.  How much did she pay for this gem?  $0, thats right it was free!  her cousin gave it to her.:beatyoass: He just bought it but now he wants to build an '83-'88 T-bird instead.  Obviously needs some work, but cant beat the price.  I expected it to be rotted underneath, but it is actuall in really nice shape.  thing even has a nice set of 16" rims on it!  (which I might "borrow" for the tbird for now, til I get a set of pony's ;) :D )

Where is the bubble back window? Also I thought the Capri's had different tail lights than that. I remember them being molded into the back of the car. Oh well nice looking Capri.

The older Capris had the mustang backend.  I think from '83-'86 got the bubble hatch.

Those look like aero tail lights...they're not Capri ones.

The 79-82's had the non-bubble hatch.

I had a '79 model. It was black with t-tops,but it had the lowly 4 banger.Nice looking car with TRX wheels.I have no idea where it is today.I sometimes wish I would've kept it for a 5.0 swap.It didn't have the bubble window either.Nice score on the Capri.I'll bet your wife will love it when you're done with it.What kind of car is she driving now?

You mean when "SHE" is done with it, she will love it.  As I said, "it is HER project car not mine"  I will help her when she asks for it but she wants to learn with this car.  I have already triied to buy it off her but no luck.  She is a truck girl, right now she has a '96 Ford Explorer

I found the car on car domain!  Back when some guy had it in Hamilton.
