I welcomed the dark side and currently am driving a 2000 Dodge Durango SLT plus, with a 5.9, Code named project "Night Runner"
Shes black on black, fully loaded, with headers, 180 tstat, e fan, straight exhaust into a cherry bomb vortex ler, full tune up, ported intake and T/B, MSD coil, and round aircleaner.
Mods to come: Fully rebuilt and heavily modded 46RE, and a richmond rachet locker.

getting a reman 3g and modding it and installing it this long weekend, and finishing body and paint work, the putting the inside together and im gonna have one bad ass ride!!

car runs great, looks amazing, is insured, and way to go me, I get ass ****ed by this god  state and the pen 15 sucker who sold me this ****ing car
Mother ****er never registered the car, and never paid the taxes on it, so the states like well technically he never owned the car, so he had no right to sell you it
Like ****, how the hell do I fix that shiznit? Go back to the guy in newyork that owned it what like 6-8 years ago? I doubt he has the title to the ****ing thing, or a registration.
I just dont know what the **** to do now. Got tunes in it, paint and body work is in final stages, BRAND NEW 3g alt, runs like a champ, goes like hell, just needs a allignment.
As if my life didnt have enough issues to deal with now I have to play run around with this  car, WHILE im paying insurance on it. Next payment due the 26th and my mom paid 220 down to start the insurance, and she wont do it again.
ideas? I got one idea cause I know someone high up in RI state house, but I doubt she can help me...

I know in Mass, cars older than xx number of years don't even need a title - a bill of sale is all that's needed. Same here in NH. I could register that car in a heartbeat up here - are you sure they wont register it? Since when does it matter whether the person who claims previous ownership registered it - possesion is 9/10 of the law. 10/10 in most states if the car is very old and you have a bill of sale.

His taxes = not your problem. If it was from New York, what claim does RI have? Makes no sense to me.

Prior registration = there are ways around this - they have exceptions for fabricated or restored cars in most states. My T-'Bucket was "manufactured" in a garage - a state trooper simply had to inspect it for compliance to state laws for Hot Rods.

bought the car from a kid in RI
they say theres no way from them to prove he had any right to sell the car to begin with
idk if I can get into any of those but i guess its worth looking into, its got 5 years before its considered emissions exempt and all that
I guess I have to talk to my old neighbor that works with the state
