Posting pics from your hard drive.

Ok I know there was a thread before but i figured i would put this up just in case some newcomers needed a couple tips. If its worthless then feel free to delete it.

When you click Post Reply you will get the reply screen and if you scroll down a little you will see the Manage Attachments button which i made a py arrow pointing towards.

Now when you click that you get a popup that opens up like below.

Then you browse for the picture on the hard drive and select it and hit upload. Then finish your post and hit post reply. Well i hope this helps somebody.

Is there any way to change the implementation of this?

Instead of displaying the photo at the bottom of the post, could you post a link to it at the bottom, and allow the user to link to it? This would allow betters posts using the photos as examples.

Instead of:

Insert part x into y
Then slap z into b
Lastly, screw u into q

You have:

Insert part x into y

Then slap z into b

Lastly, screw u into q

It flows far better. I know there is an option in the Vb software.

Jeremy the only way i know to do that is if the pictures are hosted online. You then just click the insert image button
and put the link to the pic in the little dialog box that opens up. I know nothing about the Vb software but somebody else might.

Just put where you want the pic to be.

That doesn't work with uploaded pictures.

For those that need a tutorial for posting images, I think we should leave the directions as simple as possible.

True, but Jeremy poses a good question.  I post all my pictures here from my hard drive as I have the knowledge on how to resize them on my computer.  To me it's just a PITA to upload to a host when you don't have to.
