I did the headlight restore, they turned out okay. Not really happy with the results, I'll go back and do them again.

I'd post pics but my camera's batteries are dead and I'm too cheap to go out and buy new ones.

You will have to do more than hand buff the lenses to get them to look good.

Then what?

The highest grit I used was 2500, man was that hard to find.

If you go over the lenses with a orbital buffer and rubbing compound you will be amazed.. Ask Gumby I did his tail lights and they shine!

Since I work at an autobody shop detailing cars I had one of the guys take a look at my car. He said it would cost at least 4 to 5 grand (CAD) to get it painted and all of the rust fixed, I told him I could throw a newer 5.0 in supercharge it and throw some Cobras on there for that much and have a lot more fun with it.

I guess my next mod is buying headers and getting a full 2 1/2 inch exhaust done with no cats and a pair of Flowmasters.

Might I suggest Summit brand race lers.  Ask any of last year's CJ atendees how they sound.  They're quite a bit cheaper than flows and still give an awesome sound.

True dat Brian. I'll agree his sound amazing espicialy with tailpipes on them. But even as dumps, I think they sound great

Okay I posted an add on Kijiji asking for HO parts, a day later I got a call from a guy with the upper intake, MAP sensor, cam, and a set of turbines!!

Anyone have any suggestions for tire size? I want to go with the biggest I can without rubbing. My car has new shocks so it sits pretty high right now. I don't really want tiny wheels on the front but I defiantly want some big wide tires on the rear.

Ok heres an update.

The guy said he could sell me everything I'd need for my HO conversion, plus a set of turbines without rubber for $650. Or a Mustang with a 5 speed, turbines with rubber and all of that for $1300.

What should I do? I want the HO parts badly but a 5 speed would be grand, well it would cost me over a grand but no biggie.

It doesn't have a title so I can't really salvage it, just for parts I guess.

I know the price is high for both deals but I'm desperate for horsepower, I can beat Civics and the like stock but I really want to embrass them. Show them what a V8 is all about!

Your question on the tire size. I run BF Goodrich 235/60's on my turbines and I think thats about as big as your going to get without going with a wider rim. But, I think the tires I got look great they give it a really wide and aggresive stance. No rubbing occurrs but I have noticed that it gives the steering a little bit of a floaty feel compared to the standard tires that came on the LS.
