A little T-Bird porn

Got bored waiting to save up enough money to buy some parts I want for my car so I did a little photoshop dressup on my 'Bird.

My original car:

I thought I would try to re-create the paint job on it I had on my old street rod Fairmont I had back in the 80's:

Here is the result:

Here with a Woodburn raceway logo (My dad is track manager there - I designed the logo)

I realized in his original post he said 'had' that Farimont, so I'm sure it's gone.  But if you'll read his first post on this board you'll see that he's probably keeping that 'Bird for a long time.

Yessir...Woodburn Oregon - http://www.woodburndragstrip.com - I made the website.

On the Fairmont, had is the operative word... My EX-wife crashed it into a cemetery at 100mph.  No joke.  She took it to the bar, got drunk and completely totaled it. Not a scratch on her though. I had to pay $5000 to fix the cemetery fence

I found out when she was a few hours late coming home from work and I drove her POS car looking for her.  On the way to her work what do I see????.....My car that I worked yrs on crumpled in a big wad of steel.  She was so drunk she blew a .26

Needless to say, she is now my EX-WIFE! Thank God I have a good wife now.

Oi, that's harsh man.  I'd be so pissed.  I've got to say though, that black and grey looks super smooth.  And I still love the shyte outta your car, it just looks so pissed.  Like in a good way.

Me likes! Especially the red stripe. It's rare to see a stripe that looks good on these cars.

I think the car looks great as-is.

I'm guessing you're not planning on changing it though...you're just hypothesizing.

Yeah, I am just playing with ideas... I plan on repainting it eventually (it is stock paint and it shows its age close up)  Not sure where I would go with the color.

Actually, I live in Tacoma, WA  My Dad lives in Woodburn obviously, but I make the trek down there a lot for business and to see my dad.

I don't know how many people here we have on the west coast (or at least fairly near), but I would love to put together a T-Bird event at Woodburn. Anyways, if you race at Woodburn again, let me know and I'll try to come down and meet up with you.  We'll do some racing together.
