Oh, and you'll never see GT on PC. It's a Sony exclusive for a reason. Half the people who buy Playstations do so so they can play the new GT.

ONLY reason I own a PS2 at all. (I just got it in Dec too :hick: tired of stealing everybody else's)

I can't wait for a GT game to be on PC. Then I could really rock the house!

Bleh! Can you say 90's coast-to-coast arcade game? The graphics are weak sauce and the car list is short! The lawnmower is the only remotely cool thing about that game. Maybe if I find a $10 used copy for the PS2, but I doubt I'd buy it.

@ Aerobird:  Like I've said previously, if you want the best racing sim(s) ever made, get GTR2 and GT Legends.  GT Legends has a lot of classic race cars and GTR2 has the modern stuff.  Both games have great graphics, amazing physics, and most of all, GREAT AI!  I've had several experiences of racing side by side through several S bends with the AI before, and especially in GT Lengends in overpowered, power sliding monsters, it's quite an experience.

Its funny as hell how Sony keeps losing exclusives like Ace Combat 5 and Devil May Cry 4 and a whole list of others. By the end of 07 the only exclusive games for the PS3 will Be MGS4 and what ever SOE and other sony divisions crank out. Considering that you can buy a premium Xbox360 for 680 dollars Thats with one year of live, extra controller, factory warranty and one game.I think i will stick with Msoft especially since they already have a host of great games. And dont even bring up GTA4, GTA4 was meant for the xbox360 in the first place sony lost thier "Exclusive" rights to the gta franchise after Sanandreas.

$680 buys a LOT of mods for the cars. I spent $120 on my PS2 (OK, so John did for my Christmas present, but I got him $120 worth of stuff).

Do you want to put money on that? ;) Gran Turismo is Sony's Mario Brothers. And it goes both ways. Anyone remember when Turok was Nintendo only? Well, Sony ended up with that exclusive. How about Final Fantasy? I was shocked to see Nintendo give that one up.

As for sticking with Microsoft, have at 'er. I'm a PC user, so I'm not a fan by default. :P Of all the electronics I've owned over the years my Sony products have been bulletproof. Last week was the first time I've ever had a failure, and it worked fine when I got home from work. I can't say that about anything running on MS software. Plus, Sony has never had the BSOD.

But let's not let ruin this thread about a great game by turning it into a MS vs. Sony bitchfight. Anything we can say has already been said a million times over.

I will respectively push away from the table with one last thing to say.

I'am jaded towards Sony for reasons of unreliable equipment. My First and second ps2 both had the power supply problems, i then bought the aforementioned Atrac3plus Cd player which broke in a year. The icing on the PS3 cake was a two step process 1 the price, secondly the closing of Lik-sang.

NOt saying that you should believe anything posted in a wiki but here ya go

Sony has never had BSOD
Thats because all of their consoles run Linux or some other kind of unix system. Sony has never tried to compile an operating system.PS3 Operating System

And one more thing im in no way a FanBoy of Microsoft i plan on buying another psp when i can afford it here soon and possibly when and if there ever is a price drop possibly buy a PS3, but like the Psp it will probably be too late in the game for me to care.

Forza2 Demo is available for DL for those who care

It's just like car manufacterer wars.  One guy will buy a Ford, it will break down in a week, then he goes around saying that all Fords suck.  Another guy will buy an identical Ford and it will run 200,000 miles without any major issues.  The lesson here is that every company has its fair share of problems along with strong points.  I have had my PS2 for about 5 years now and it's going strong.  It has been through many all night gaming sessions, heck, I left it on last night so my 24h GT4 enduro race would keep goin.  Thats not the first time I've done that either.  No disc read problems or anything.

And for the record, Polyphony Digital IS NOT SONY!!!  So dont hold that against them by saying GT sucks because Sony sucks.  That's good ol' fashioned ignorance.

My PS2 ped out. So instead of buying a then $500 360, I opted for a $125 replacement slim PS2. Shes running fine, played some Manhunt and Shadow of the Colossus lately. Even busted out my GTA: San Andreas, the before scandal copy, that thing was bogus.

Mine keeps getting the disc read error.  I've sent it back 2 times already for the same thing.  But I still like the line up better than the other two ( Is Gamecube/Wii an option for someone over 13?).  As soon as I get the cash to get one, a Slim PS2 will be sitting on my TV.  Just in time for the release of PS4. :)
