This passes for $2,200 by me..........

This TC is located 20 minutes south of me. I can't believe this guy want's $2,200 for it. I'd give him maybe, maybe $200 for it. Now you guys know what Illinois salt can do to these cars and why I put mine away in the winter.

88 Thunderbird LX: 306, Edelbrock Performer heads, Comp 266HR cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, bunch of other stuff.

This passes for $2,200 by me..........

it might be due to the fact its on a car lot. ;) its only worth what someone else is willing to pay.

And the reason I NEVER buy from a car lot...

Luckily I do have a buddy "in the business", so if I want something at a auction, I generally have him pick it up and pay him a little something to transfer the title...

To give you guys a idea what I'll pay, I turned down a fairly nice 102K mi '96 Cougar with a 4.6... Price $1500... Friggin' thing was mint green with dark green interior  :yuck:  (otherwise I'd probably bought it)...

Back in '97 I paid $1215 for my white TC, and my buddy made $200 on it...

Did anyone else notice it said 6 cylinder? Last time I checked, the 2.3T has only 4 pistons..... DId I miss something or does the dumbass not know what he is selling?

It also says 139k miles and there's 143plus on the odometer.

Turbo Coupes have 4 cylinders.

like maybe a Taurus? (Some kind of 4-door)

It's from a Mercury Sable wagon, one of their "other items".
You can see what is apparently their version of a "hard-working professional sales team"  :rollin:  in the bottom right pic.

You would think they would at least clean and detail it before posting it... or would that be counted as " polishing the turd? "
