Cobra IRS into an '88 Bird

Has anyone done this swap yet?
mouthbreather.net/IRSSWAP.HTML (put www. in front)
Is a link into a fox Mustang, I wonder if it would work for us too?

Check out my cardomain pages. I'm pretty much done with the IRS swap in my car. I just have to run new brake lines/fuel lines (not because of the swap though), and install shocks. There are some minor differences between the mustang rear frame rails after the hump. The quad shock mounts on our cars are too far back to be used for the rear stock IRS mounting brackets. You have to make some spacers similar to what I did so the brackets have something soild to be against. Or you can do like Chuck W did to another guys car and that was to fab new rear brackets that are solid mounted to the IRS carrage then bolt up correctly. I may revise how my rear mounts are attached. (Thanks Chuck for the idea, I might just use it :D)
But yes, it's been done.
