There's a Sonic right across from my college.  There's another one clsoer to my house.  It's pretty good; I'm just REALLY careful when eating in the Tbird.

I love Sonic. Any time I head south it is one place that is a must.
Closest one to me is a few hours away in Virginia.

I like sonic but since there is a Whataburgers down the street I go there. Whataburger has always been my favorite. I think Whataburgers are only in TX and the surrounding states.

Ok, so question 2... why do they advertise in places they're nowhere near?

marketing in key areas where they would expect folks to travel a lot.  Up there, you have a bunch of industry and migrating work in and out of state.

example one,,, your posting this thread would have never happened if you did not see that commercial.  My wife and i were just talking about sonic just because you brought it up.  me off that there isnt one in my town other than roanoke va area.  Yes, close but still too far.

I am lucky enough to have a Sonic right down the road from my neighborhood. The food is pretty good for fast food. It's the tater-tots and drink selction that make them a little different than most. My fast food preference (hamburger-wise) would have to be Whataburger. We have a couple in my town, but about as far from my house as you can get, so I do not usually make special trips from home...just stop by one once in awhile when I'm in town.

Hardee's used to be huge around here around 15 years ago. They're all pretty much gone now but there is one in Delaware that I'll hit when I'm in Dover.

Roy Rogers disappeared years ago but recently made a comeback at one location not too far from me. They've always been decent.

Checkers is good too.

I'm tired of McDoogles and Burger King. They've turned into the fast food equivalant of Wal-Mart.

Heh, Wendy's is still around, how long do you think it will be before they go down the tubes?

I just finished eating a Chili Cheese Coney. MMMM. I wish there was still a Hardees here. That went outta business 10 years ago, replaced by a Burger King, and now Movie Gallery. I miss both. Hardess are almost non existent anywhere around here. BK is becoming that way too.

I don't eat fast food much but if I do it's always White Castle. I don't know why but I love those little hamburgers.

Oh and as a side topic if any of you ever go to Chicago you have to try a resturant on the South Side called Connies. Best  Chicago style deep dish pizza. I know because I eat alot of Chicago pizza:D
