Wife got a new car

We traded the van for a 2003 Chrysler 300M Special so we could get a lower car payment. It's about $100/mo cheaper and a hell of alot nicer than the 2003 Town & Country van we had. It's 3.5L V6 is rated at 258HP/250TQ with a "performance tuned" suspension that actually feels performance tuned. Wheels are 17" with 225 ZR 55's. Its got every option such as Leather interior, heated memory seats, CD changer, power sunroof, etc... It's gonna need a brake job soon and there are some sun faded trim pieces I need to replace but other than that its like new.

I'd like to get one of those when I jettison the Volvo. Very, very nice cars, and with Chrysler's legendary resale value they can be had cheap

I like the newer ones a little better.  They look a lot like a charger!

Yes indeed! This one they dropped the price to $11,000 which is just below wholesale value.

Nice ride but i hate to tell ya this....those are not the 300special rims.
The special had 18in silver "special" wheels with low pro's,only came on the 300 special, pretty rare rims, nice too.
They probably got the car form an auction and somebody swapped the rims or cust bought the regular 300 wheels for reason or another.
The auction sounds more plausable.
I would go back and complain that you did not get the correct rims for that car

I wondered if anyone would catch that. When I was researching the car last night I discovered the rim thing. I thought it seemed odd that the original owner would've chosen the optional chrome 17's over the 18" standard wheels. It would've been nice to have the stockers but I'm cool with the chrome 17's. I'm kind of glad that the 17's are on it because of the price of tires. The 18's came with 245's on them.

If the car was destined to be a collector item it would matter but since 300 entusiasts are probably smaller in number than even us Fox cat/bird crowd it's really no biggie not having the correct rims.

Nice observation though... How did you know?

I spanked one with my T-bird last night and my timing is only at 10*;)

They are nice cars though. I'd like to have one for a daily driver.

That is a nice car. I actually like the styling of the older ones better than the new ones. Congrats on the purchase.
