High Boy = Factory lifted 4x4 pickup, most often (if not always) a F250 (3/4 ton)

Not sure of the shape your Bird was in but if it and the truck were in like condition with like miles ... You Stole That Truck!

Are you joking? I trip over trucks like that around here! $2000 will get you a clean 68-71 4x4 or 2wd short wide with out even trying hard. Probably even pick your color!

lol.. you live in Washington with me... Us hillbillys have them ALL!!

Actualy you can get better deals than that my I payed $2250 for my 1991 F250 4x4 high boy from a buddy of mine (more like he GAVE it to me). And not ALL the 4x4's are "high boys" most are just 4x4. "high boy" implies factory Lift and work type package, duel tanks ect. Also all factory high boys I have seen were Long Wide box... High Boy was the WORK truck meant to get the job done, not the little sissy pretty truck with fancy "cool looking" bed and street radial tires that would never see the mud.

Besides that he traded a 84 t-bird for it, what do those go for arround here $600 on an average?

Heres a few as examples

1968 for $3000
1977 for $7000
1974 for $7500

As I said, if it's in the same shape as his Bird (whatever shape that may have been) He stole it!

Up here there's a lot more supply :hick: It's hillbilly area for sure, but they all grew up and bought new trucks that never see mud.

Those older trucks are getting harder to find here...everyone likes them for the solid front axle, they lift em, and beat the  out of them. Kinda sucks, cuz they're nice old trucks. My brother had one that was a real beaut when he bought it, and he trashed the thing.

its an f250 that somebody put a 351 m in. as far as body goes the bird was better but not by much. the truck had been sitting for about 6 months but started and runs pretty nice. like any old ride it does need work but so did the bird. i think i got the better end of the deal. i have since put on 35/12.50/16 toyo mud tires and have wheeled it quite a bit. the nice thing about this over the bird is if i drive this to work and have to bring something home i dont have to run home to get the 77.
