Mustang Swaybar and springs

I did a search and didn’t find anything on it.

Will a 91 Mustang Front Sway bar fit on an 88 T-Bird?

What about Mustang springs front and rear? Would those fit giving a drop in ride height? Basically Lowering the car? And if so, how much drop?

Yes. Just get the right bushings for the bar diameter.

I'll let some one else field the spring question.

The swaybar will fit, but the endlinks will be angled in slightly because the Mustang bar is slightly shorter overall. So make sure you have some aftermarket endlinks or it will bend them.
Also, you have to have the Mustang's swaybar frame mounts to use it.

Far as the springs go, depends on what year you're talking about, however Fox rear springs will not work, they're way too short. Sn95 rears will lower the rear of the car slightly.

V8 Mustang front springs are pretty similar to Thunderbird front springs, so probably no lowering there, unless they're four cylinder or V6 front springs.

Ok I am not an expert on the subject but from what I have read I am confident in saying this.

You are not correct regarding the springs.

If the rear springs were different then how can Motorsport springs for 79-2000 mustangs work on peoples cars.

Look in this thread for springs that others have used.

Good info though most of the pics are gone.
I am pretty sure somebody said they used stock stang springs to lower their Bird.

I found it, page 3 post #28, it was Cougarman:

My son always uses Fox Mustang springs, lowers the car good but still rides nice.

You CANNOT use FACTORY Fox Mustang rear springs in the thunderbird, unless you want to lower the car more than 2 inches, because they will drop the back end on the ground. They're too soft. Maybe I shouldn't say too short, but the spring rate is not high enough.

I don't know about aftermarket ones.

Hmm.. I think I WANT to lower it about 2 inches.
The Stang front struts pulled the front down about 2, now my ass is up in the air with about 4" of clearance above the back tires. 2" would also allow me to use the Mustang KYB's I have on the back and probably sit me just about right..... I think!

Earlier I forced (attached the bottom then leaned on the car to attach the top) one of the Mustang shocks on there.. I liked where it sat, however the shock against the spring was so tight I was concerned it would ride like a tank.

I ether find a shorter/softer spring, OR I'm going to cut a wrap out of the birds, passably on the front also.

I'd recommend either getting SN95 rears and tpuppies them slightly (although tpuppies the rear springs doesn't work all that well IMO), or find some SN95 rear lowering springs. Stockers lower the rear about an inch.
