Help me choose...

I've been saving to get Forza Motorsport 2 ($65) for my Xbox 360 but now I have a chance to buy a Comp XE270HR-14 cam for $150... Which would go real nice with the Twisted Wedge heads I have collecting dust in my closet.

So on the one hand I could get the game when it comes out in a few weeks and enjoy it now or buy the cam and maybe not get to install it for a few months while I save for gaskets and pushrods and stuff.

So I'm torn... I want both but I cant have both:mad:

I guess there is the additional consideration that when I install the TW heads I'll try and sell the aluminum GT-40's for $500... Its just the initial out of pocket expense that limits me to one or the other.

Cam

Playing with real cars is sooo much better then games. I really enjoyed my PS2 this winter but even drag racing my 18 second truck is more exciting.

in the end people will see how much better your car is and how fast it is more than how fast you can move a joystick and press buttons.

Put it this way...
If you wait to buy the game say for five months, the cost may drop to 50ish or you could get a less-expensive used copy.
Now if you wait to buy the cam for a few months, the cost isn't going to drop. It is still going to be $150.

Get the cam.

1st off, why do you need a cam? what mods do you have that would benefit from an aftermarket cam?

Twisted Wedge heads, ported Cobra intake, JBA 1 5/8 shorties, 2 1/2" exhaust, 5 speed, 3.55's and some other stuff...

My current mystery cam doesn't come alive till 3000 and this cam is supposed to pull from 1800. I need more area under the curve.

I'd like a custom but that's way beyond what I can afford. The only reason the xe270hr is an option is because it's such a good deal and fits the rest of my combo so well. It seems to be the right cam at the right price.

But I still want Forza 2! LOL

Actually, you may have a point there. It's not like people wont be playing on Xbox Live in a few months... But then I'll have to decide between Ace Combat 6 and Forza 2... It just never ends! It sucks to be poor!

I already have my copy of forza 2 reserved, buy the cam it is very likely that forza will be pushed back another month as it has already been pushed back from its previous 2 dates of release. By the time the game actually drops you will have rebuilt the funds needed for the game. when you get the game send me an invite my sn is Senninkai.

I don't even see where there's a question here.Video games should never take priority over the car.Ever.On the other hand,I'm 39,so video games really aren't an important issue with me.

I dont know... In the video game you dont get dirty tuning the car, you can race it whenever you want with up to 8 other people from around the globe, if you crash... no biggie, and gas is free! lol...

But seriously, I am leaning toward the cam.

Oh yeah, I'm 41... BTW, for anyone here with xbox live I go by dogcharmer69. I play PGR3 alot.
