window motors change

I am about to change both window motors is there something I to pay attention to or any hidden mishaps?

Pretty straight forward.No big deal at all.Easy stuff.

You will need to drill some holes to access the mounting screws if they have not been replaced before. There are dimple dents in the metal where you need to drill. I used a 1/2 in. hole saw. It would have been better if I had used a 3/4 in.

If the motors run, they probably just need the gear box rebuild kit.
I believe Ford calls them the window regulator rebuild kit.

The gears strip because the window gets too hard to move as the  lube on the mechanisim gets old and hard.
