More Freaking Problems!!

Ok so i have half my tune up done, new champion (BLAH all i could afford) plugs, pepboys wires, and an accel cap and rotor, well i just finished the drivers side took me a hour, go to do the passenger side I only have 3 plug wires left. i put the new coil wire on and four on the other side, and i only have three left. No idea what im gonna do cause im NOT taking them all back off, cause it was a bitch getting the first ones off. AHHH runs better with half a tune up though! End ranting! Plus i found out i have 4 cats on my car? means more work gutting them all out. Well im off to finish what i can, and hope i just over looked a wire....

Yep :hick:

Accel sucks anyways. For less $$$ you can get a set of Taylor wires and NGK plugs and perform better. Sleeper has them as well as me.

i was told i had 4 cats, but when i got under there to do trans work and had to drop the stock exhaust i only found 3.  its the stock 5.0 piping (untill the end of the 3rd cat) with a flowmaster on it.  when i dropped them from the headers the Y pipe had one going streight through (breeze gutting it) then theres another thats on a 90 degree angle as it bends from one header to the other.  after that there's a 3rd one that you can clearly see just before the ler.  i couldnt gut that one b/c is got a a 60ish bend in it that has a  on that end, then it goes streight to which would be another .  well the guy who put my 50 series on welded that  together... why weld that one and not every other ?  so im stuck with one cat left.  perhaps they consider the 3rd cat a dual cat?  dunno.  if i could get the first 2 knocked out within an hour it shouldnt take very long, and if the rear  on the 3rd cat isnt welded that's the easiest to gut.  thus no cats just housings.

You want an easy way to get new plug wires? Go back to PepBoys, buy a new, identical set, take the one plug wire you need out of it, and return it to get your money back. It is basically the same thing as taking back the set you were actually shorted the wire, but much less work

Go to the Ford dealer and get a set of Ford Racing wires.
They're 9mm, are marked for each cylinder and were a whopping $35. .. at least they were at my local dealer.
Perfect fitment and are much better than the pep boys ones IMO.

I have an accel cap and rotor as well which has worked fine.
Also cheap plugs always worked better in my cars. I just grab the $1.24 2-packs of Autolites from Wallyworld.

Ok I drive back (God i love driving!) guess what i bought the LAST box of wires that they say would fit my car, so i check out the accell wires, only 90 universal kits. So i get my refund come home, finish putting in the POS champion plugs they sold me, start it up, it still wants to stall out, and when i shove it to the floor, rpms drop, before it comes roaring to life.

Now your saying a can get parts at a ford dealership?? wish there was one near by ill have to look it up, cause i have dodge and toyota dealers around here. I tell you what my arms are small and getting the original plug wires off the first time was a pain. My arms are scratched to hell, and the  car still doesn't run good! Someone tell me what i should clean out, cause this thing has sat 2 years before i got her running again. Thanks guys!

Before gettin' too carried away with a tune, I'd slap in a new fuel filter...no sense in havin' to clean or replace clogged injectors.

I wouldnt waste the money on the +4 bosch plugs.

A good NGK plug will serve you well.
