Car will not turn over April 17, 2007, 05:22:32 PM Just converted to Mini starter and car will not turn over. Also a freind CUT off a relay and I have no clue what it is, only an idea. The colors of the wires going to it are G/lp, o/lb, r, pink? and a plug was attached to that o/lb, red, dg/y, lg/p. I would splice then back together but they are cut soo close, I have no room to do so. Anyone tell me 1: what the relay is and 2: an idea of why the car doesn't turn over. Also possible the starter is dead, it was a JY peice Quote Selected

Car will not turn over Reply #2 – April 17, 2007, 05:43:34 PM Mikey, I thought you said the relay was the A/C WOT cutout? If it is, that is useless to you anyway now, I'm pretty sure.Did you fix the starter wiring like I showed you? Quote Selected
Car will not turn over Reply #3 – April 17, 2007, 09:22:19 PM I did the wiring just like you said. And still notning. Turn the ley and no click, no nothing. It's possable the starter is dead so I'll grab another and try this again, but if not then what then? I'm assuming thats what the Realy is but I can't find for sure. Quote Selected
Car will not turn over Reply #4 – April 17, 2007, 09:35:19 PM Take the starter out and have it tested. It's probably fine.I'll bet it's in the wiring,a relay, ignition switch.....somewhere in there. Quote Selected
Car will not turn over Reply #5 – April 17, 2007, 09:37:59 PM Worked fine bafore the starter died, then I assumed a JY starter was good. Probaly a relay somewhere. But I still don't know what teh realy that was cut is. It was off the right fender, near the soloniod. I asked a freind to cut the ends off the E fans I'm wiring in. He heard cut the relay off. Dumbass. I'd be alittle pissed if it was the starter relay. Anyone got any idea's to the mistery Relay. I can grab pics too if it will help Quote Selected
Car will not turn over Reply #6 – April 17, 2007, 11:34:07 PM If the starter tests ok then the starter relay (located ON the starter) is fine. There really is no other wiring when it comes to the starter except the ignition switch, so I think you need to check that starter cable again. Now don't go and tear the column out of the car just yet either. I might be able to stop by some day this week that it's not raining. Quote Selected
Car will not turn over Reply #7 – April 18, 2007, 07:12:26 AM It's nice today, but I'll test the starter first and grab another starter reay for on te fender for the hell of it. I have a spare starter cable too so i'll see if I can find a fault somewhere in it Quote Selected

Car will not turn over Reply #10 – April 18, 2007, 11:33:20 AM I did that... still notnin. I either wired it wrong, have a bad connection on the starter or the starter is dead. i'll know about 4 when I have it tested Quote Selected
