lol, it feels maybe 20# heavier than the t5, maybe more I'm not sure lol. last time i picked up a t-5 i hadn't been to the gym in a year or so, and now I've been going every day for almost a month so its kinda hard to compare. i hope i don't have to wrestle with it more than once tho lol.

yeah i remember almost being able to carry the t5 around like it was a kid or something, i don't think I'll be carrying this one on my shoulder any time soon tho lol.

thanks man, i loved my turbo, but the low end torque on the 5.0 is pretty sweet... i still miss the turbo spooling up and making that  hissing sound, and feeling it come into play. one day, I'll have a supercharger or something  and that should fix that lol.

Ok... so that isn't actually any different than say an F-body T56 or a Cobra T56 is it?  People just put Viper in front of it because it's the same tranny that Vipers use right... and that makes it umm... more "badass"?  Lol sorry, but I hear this so much, and just think to myself, it's a 6 speed tranny that can handle a good ammount of power stock.

I think the Viper was the only one with a .5:1 6th gear stock. Im probably wrong though.

no, you are right. some of the corvette t56s have the .50 6th as well. the viper also uses a 26 spline input shaft and a different outputshaft as well. most of the vipers vettes and 03-04 t56s have a 2.66 1st though. very tall gears for first. the 00 cobra r tranny has 2.95 first and more even gear ratios but has a 6th of .62 like the regular cobra t56. all he gearing in these things are a little funky. i wish 1st and 2nt was a little steeper in my 03-04 cobra t56. my t45 has a 3.35 1st. i need 3.90 rear end gears just to get back to where i was in 1st and second with the t45. that puts me a touch deeper into the motor at 75 mph in 6th than id reay cared for. i realy wish i had bought the viper trany. heck at least the 00r tranny. this one isnt bad though, just not "just right" either one of the 2 would have been alot more money than i spent on the cobra t56 though.
cangrats Nate. thats gonna be frickin sweet!

don't forget the heavier duty internals that make it able to handle about 650'# of torque. plus, I'm pretty sure it will move the shifter location back almost an inch, so it will be a little more comfortable.

No, the Viper-spec T-56 uses a different gearset with a .50 sixth gear (as opposed to .68) and it has a stronger headset than the other variety T-56's...it will handle more torque than Nate may ever throw at it...never know when he might order a turbo though...lol.
