So you're all pic ws, eh?

...well get ready to feast your eyes on SEVENTEEN pics of many of the things that I have been around all my life.  Not all the pics are very good quality, but they'll do.  I will put small captions below each pic like always.  Enjoy!

I think it's appropriate to start out with the two cars that started my family's hot rodding tradition:

My dad's 67 Fairlane 289 (one of my fav cars of all time)

My uncle's 69 Camaro 350

Here is what my dad did for several years before the Chevelle came along:

Look at the stache!  wooo!

Erm...yeah...no comment

Here is my Uncle's current hot rod - a 69 Caprice 427

In this family, hot rods dont have autos

I think the 427 speaks for itself

Our ex-neighbor has had this 67 Chevelle SS 396 since day one, and those Vette sidepipes have been on the car since '69.  It's a numbers matching car too, and has some mild engine and suspension work done to it.  It rides great, runs great, and sounds AWESOME.  It sounds extremely unique with the sidepipes too; all the locals know when he's comin.

These two pics are from when the 383 was being put into the Chevelle

Here is my dad's '85 Trans Am 305

Did you really think I'd put up a pic thread without updated pics of the Tbird?  We just gave the car an awesome scrub down with this kitchen cleaner stuff that does WONDERS on paint; it hasnt looked this good since we've had the car.

And a moment of silence, please.  You are about to see something NEVER posted before... PASSENGER side pics of my car!!!!

And there you have it folks, my ultimate pic w thread.  Hope you all enjoyed!

Bah, I'm probably just gonna hook up the H-pipe and headers to the stock exhaust for now.  Anyways, back to the pics... :)

And yes...I LOOOOVE the 66-67 Fairlanes.  One of my top 5 cars easily.

There are only 2 exceptions to that rule:

1)  My other uncle's 67 Fairlane 289 because the WHOLE car is ORIGINAL.

2)  My Tbird because I dont have the money....yet.  But eventually, A T5 will find it's way in :)

@boss - lets use PM and let this thread do its thing :)

I almost forgot to add this in, but a little background on my Uncle's Caprice:

When we first stumbled on the car (in 2000-2001 I believe), it was in a field with no engine, wheels, tranny, or driveshaft.  The body was pretty solid, and the interior was somehow in VERY good condition.  So my uncle bought it and we went to pick it up.  Of course it was right after it rained, so we were dragging it out of a muddy field.  The guy my uncle bought it from also had the 427 that the car came with sitting in his garage.  Four years later, it was finally on the road.  There are still many things that need to be done, like replacing the driver's side rear quarter and some odds and ends, but at least it's not rotting away in a field anymore.

We like all makes and models in this family; you won't find bias around here.  :)

Yeah I still remember the car that ran through him too.  The brown #84; the guy's name was Kevin Anderson I believe.

But this is far from the worst racing story...

It was August 8th, my birthday.  My grandparents had come down from New York for the occasion and since it was Saturday, there was a race.  We all went, and like normal, I attended the pre race stuff with my dad.  Also, I got to pull the qualifying position out of the bag for dad.  I pulled out 2nd place.

Fast forward to the race.  It was a 15 lap event, and heading into turn 1 on the first lap, dad took the lead.  13 laps later, he was still leading.  The 2nd place car was on his tail, but he held his line through every turn like any good racer.  But coming out of turn 4 on lap 13, the 2nd place car dumped him in the infield.  Dad finished 14th.  I have never been so pissed off in my entire life, and I probably never will be.  Despite many top 5s, dad never did win a race at the local track (although he did win at the short track at Charlotte Motor Speedway).

But, there was always time for revenge.  One guy in a blue 50 car spun dad out at the local track one week.  The next week in Charlotte, dad returned the favor.  Karma's a bitch.
