Wow what a find, can't believe nobody's jumped on those yet. I've decided to retain the air bags on my newest project for the time being or I might be tempted to snag em

It's a real good price, I already have brand new Ford 5300-D springs or I would jump on these too. :grinno:

For the uninitiated among us (myself included) what is the difference between these and regular Mustang lowering springs?

Using Mustang springs on a T-bird or Cougar apperantly causes a bit of a lower ride height at the rear as opposed to the front.  The rear end "sags" if you will, even with the new springs.  It's because of the excessive overhang Birds/Cats have in comparison to stangs, as well as the different geometry of the rear control arms.

Regular Mustang springs will lower a Cougar/Bird quite a bit, these are made for the weight and handling of our cars. These are probably similar to the old Ford motorsports springs, like the ones I have on my Cougar. They lowered it 1.5' front, and 1" in back, probably a little more after I get some miles on them. :)

I have a new set of lowering springs for the 84-88 TBirds by Koni. They used to make them for alot of other Ford's but discontinued them.

Someone got some good springs for their car.
