Raven Charcoal interior/ New Question-Cleaning the seats?

The interior of my sport is raven/charcoal and, as seems to be the norm, the seats are faded to blue. Has anyone found a way to dye the covers or is the only hope to find a set that hasnt faded/have them recovered?

Once it dries it doesn't bleed. It's the EXACT stuff Ford used to dye them in the first place. I've used a bunch, works really nice.

So do you sell the dye?

Sure do. $20/can plus shipping. 1 can will redo over the blue on both seats nicely with enough left over to do the top of the backseat.

Well i will have to get a couple cans in a few weeks. Now heres a new question for everybody.

What is the best way to clean the upholstery on the seats? I dont know if the seats have ever been cleaned before i bought the car and they are really dirty.

Thanks

I pretty much do this every year with my stuff......

Remove all the seats, and use an injection type carpet cleaner with the upholstry attachement. They come out real nice this way, and it makes it easier to touch up the color with dye while they are out :D

I just did the drivers side upper on my Capri in the washer. Took the cover off, threw it in on gentle cycle and it came out real nice....I will say, I had nothing to loose here as my upper was bad, and this was a nice spare but REALLY dirty. YMMV.

I had thought about taking them off and cleaning them but I dont have hog ring pliers and it looks like thats the only way to take them off and reinstall them so I dont want to end up with the covers off and no way to reinstall them. If i could get them off i would try pressure washing the covers. Thanks
