Hehehehehhe!,

I have a 50x50' home in two stages, the basp00get garage is 1/2 of the home, and the other is divised by 4, Electro bench, Stockroom, My studio (where I am) and the furnace room...

A large portion of My cass is in the furnace room, some in the stock room, and the rest (commonly used is at My left hand) take a 26' long fullfilled by videocasstes.

Where I am I have a lot of video/audio equipment, most is in a rackmount, and some audio here and here...

I have a BETACAM's (not beta) here, two is from Radio Canada, but in Xcellent shape (PVV1 rec, and BVP 50 head), with Angenieux lenses, (14x2), thats rock, trust Me..:hick:

(in 90's I was a video engineer for CBC/Radio Canada) for why I have that...

Have a nice Day,

We use Betacam and Betamax tapes at work all the time. We get commercials and long-form programs on them.
Actually, we get them as much as we get DVC Pro tapes. The Beta tapes seem to do very well with quality and fidelity.

The DVC PRO is nor very very bad, but I don't see this good enough for broadcasting.

I love the Betacam format, it still good enough, but in broadcasting it not very longer used, The AVID system killed some tape in the broadcast, and the avid work very great...

The tapes is used for a large part to record the output of a finish products...

I'm not a broadcaster, and for My use the betacam and betacam sp, 3/4 sp, do the job very well, and at low cost (relative)...

Regards,

Dom.
