instrument cluster swap questions??

I did a search but really didnt find an answer. Simply put is it possible to swap a full buttstuffog instrument cluster from a 88 TC into a 88 XR7 with the full digital cluster???

The base digi would be simpler,But it's still a lot of rewire and sending unit changin.and the tach still wont be right.

yes but you will need all new sensors and have to repin the wiring harness, (no big deal) and change the resistor in the tach.

My Sport has the ananlog.I wish it would've had the full digital.I could easily modify it for 199mph,and on my buttstuffog gauges,I'm stuck with 95mph.....until I find a T-Bird 140 gauge (big bucks),or,modify a Mustang 140 speedo and run a speedo cable (not hard,and MUCH cheaper).The Stang piece route is probably the way I'll eventually go.

I welcomed the dark side and currently am driving a 2000 Dodge Durango SLT plus, with a 5.9, Code named project "Night Runner"
Shes black on black, fully loaded, with headers, 180 tstat, e fan, straight exhaust into a cherry bomb vortex ler, full tune up, ported intake and T/B, MSD coil, and round aircleaner.
Mods to come: Fully rebuilt and heavily modded 46RE, and a richmond rachet locker.

:iagree: When I swapped mine from a base cluster to full digital cluster I used Eric's  info's...

It's not hard enough to make, but a bit harder for the tank sender, and some gauges on the engine...
