Gasser? February 27, 2007, 11:08:51 PM Just wondering if I'm the only one that thinks it be cool to make a 86tc into a gasser. For those who are not familiar witha gasser I'll show you a mopar one. I'm tempted to do it on the 86 I just picked up. Its a stripped car for drag racing any ways so why not. Quote Selected

Gasser? Reply #2 – February 27, 2007, 11:13:06 PM if its already a striped drag car, do it. throw a nice big block all N/A pushing some insane hp and tq numbers. Man that would be SAWEET! Quote Selected
Gasser? Reply #4 – February 27, 2007, 11:42:45 PM I'm picking the car up tomorrow. For now I'll run a 5.0 and c4 and some nitrous when I some extra money. But once I get my other project done I think I'll make it a gasser. Might be awhile since my other project, 69 satellite, still needs the qtrs put on and then paint. But once thats done the tc is going to be a gasser. I need to start taking some measurements so I can find the right axle for the front. Quote Selected
Gasser? Reply #5 – February 28, 2007, 12:35:43 AM My dad was once talking about doing up a fox mustang with an altered wheelbase and a straight axle in the front, all old school style. One of those kinda cool to see things, but kinda pointless at the same time. Quote Selected

Gasser? Reply #7 – February 28, 2007, 11:20:32 AM I think any "aero" car would look kinda odd as a gasser, but I suppose I could be wrong You gonna build a new front subframe for it so you can run a straight axle with leaf springs? :hick: Quote Selected
Gasser? Reply #8 – February 28, 2007, 05:49:14 PM Well first of all, that's not a gasser. It's an A/FX car with an altered wheelbase. Here is some info on what made up a "gasser" by year.http://www.radicaldecals.com/gasser_classes.htmlWhat are you thinking about doing it? Altered wheelbase? Jacked up stance? That's not going to be easy to do. The old gas-class cars would use straight axles for height, simplicity, and light weight. I think that's gonna look a little odd on an aero car since by the time they debuted, stink-bug stance and straight axles were ancient history. But whatever blows up your skirt.. Quote Selected

Gasser? Reply #12 – March 03, 2007, 12:34:58 AM i'm no photoshop guru so its kinda crude. I pictured it looking cooler. maybe I'll just keep it low in the front like it currently is. leave well enough alone. Quote Selected
