Winter time leaks February 21, 2007, 07:33:52 AM Their is water in front of the driver seat on the floor.This seem to only happen in winter.If someone has had this problem could you tell me how you stop it.Is it coming from above the window or could it be coming from that metal piece thats at the bottom of the window?Help. Winter time leaks Reply #1 – February 21, 2007, 09:35:56 AM Hello,Quote from: al green;130653Their is water in front of the driver seat on the floor.This seem to only happen in winter.If someone has had this problem could you tell me how you stop it.Is it coming from above the window or could it be coming from that metal piece thats at the bottom of the window?Help.My 85 Bird started to make this last year, I fixed this last week, The problem was over the door hinges pillar, BUT check at the bottom of Your windshield (under the metal sheet for the wipers), and if it's good, check where is the wipers arms mechanism if it's not rotted, it's not easy to see, but with the hand You will "see" if is rotted...Check below the brake booster too, where the steering column go through the floor, ect...and check under the dash if You see a rust, If it's at the same place of Me, You will have no choice to remove the driver fender.Check Your floorpan just in case too...Hope this help,Dom.
