Almost looks "alien" without the swiss-cheese going on. Nice work. When are you going to paint the exterior?

not real sure. i need to get some money together, to have my heads "cleaned up". i was planning on painting the outside after i have the drivetrain in, but i may paint it before then. id like to get front and rear fiberglass bumper covers, and shave the "moldings" off for a smooth look all around.

another little update...

i finally got a steering column, shaft, and wheel. turns out the guy sent me the wrong key with the lock cylinder. so i figured i would replace it with a new one. turns out, you need the "correct" key to get the cylinder out. so i beat the ever loving shiznit out of it, till it popped out. then i go to oreilly's and buy a new assy for $15. come back and it slid right in.

later i was thinking if my t-bird cylinder would work, and after my son's ballgame, i gave it a try. and it worked! saves me from having to deal a bunch of keys now, and im going to take the new cylinder back for a refund. :D

oh, and the sn95 steering shaft will mate to the fox rack, if you use the fox steering knuckle on the sn95 shaft. the fox rack has splines, whereas the sn95 rack is more of a hex shape. i never could find any  detailed info on the column swap into a fox.

a little update:

i got the heads over to the shop last week. i should have them back next week, and then the motor will be assembled.

i did get another step of the dash swap finished. i had to cut out a piece of the firewall from a sn95 mustang to use the sn95 steering column. i got the fox knuckle bolted onto the sn95 shaft, also.

wow! long time since an update. but anyways...

i fabbed up a low mount alternator bracket, to kind of "unclutter" the top of the motor.

No way,Man.It's not hideous. That's cool.Just make sure all of the edges are smooth, sand it and paint it.No-one would know the difference.Just tell everyone who asks that it was a factory part that was discontinued a year or so ago.Get them wondering.

got the chains installed, and decided to do a test fit today. my k-member allows 1" set back from stock(??).  its installed as far back as i could get it. bad news is, its about 1" from the firewall. also the oilpan rubs when you push the front of the motor down.(trans is not installed yet). ill try some offset rack bushings, to see if it clears then.
